This be an illustration for 'The Pitch' Kansas City Weekly.
It's to go along with an article about a Bar that offers cover-free dancing to patrons who show up dressed like zombies. The idea reminded me a little of 'Return of the Living Dead' where the Zombie gets on the radio in the ambulance and says " Send... more... paramedics." That's why one of the guys looks like a phony. Like the bar sent out this info as a cover, so they could eat more humans. I know it's a bit of a stretch...but I wanted to have one element stand out, even if it was just to have the readers wonder why he looked so different than the others. Plus, most people have limited zombie make-up skills, so they'll show up with a white painted face and black eyes...dime a dozen zombie styles.

I think the one sort of fake zombie dude works visually as a highlight, regardless of whether people pick up on the "zombies trying to get more humans" thing or not.
In addition to that, reading your discription really made me want to have a bar or cafe or club or something so that I could offer incentives to have people dress in specific ways. Knowing me, tho, that obsession would become the sole focus of the establishment, which would then quickly deteriorate into a cesspool of debt...
Luckily, I do not have enough capital to do anything like that!!
